I gave blood this morning. I only do it because they give out Tuc sandwich crackers at the end.
Apparently I am a particularly fine and swift bleeder, according to my nice friendly nurse, with a beautiful easy-access vein in my right arm. I produced my pint this morning in 3m59s. Am beginning to recognise unattractive competitive tendencies in myself - I really had to fight the urge to ask how quickly the other people were donating...

my sister is so slow at giving blood the nurse asked her if she was actualkly alive!
Bn the time Grace had finished 2 men next to her had been and gone, and the third was half way through.
I'm not sure being a fast bleeder is good. Surely this means in an horrifc car accident or freak chain-saw incident Grace would have an advantage over you?
You don't know how lucky you are...I have never dared to go an try and give blood..just in case they take one look at me and just say 'no thanks love'!!! Perhaps I should try it ?
